GOSIM AI Paris 2025 is a global stage for open-source AI, where over 80+ leading experts from around the world presented 60+ high-quality tech talks to more than 500 registered participants. This event covered four major themes: AI Models, AI Infrastructure, AI Applications, and Embodied Intelligence, and offered a comprehensive look at the latest developments in open-source AI technologies. Additionally, two special forums, the OpenHarmony Tech Forum and the PyTorch Developer Day, attracted enterprises and developers from around the globe.

Open Source AI Strategy Forum Workshop Participants – 5 May 2025, Paris, France.

The Open Source AI Strategy Forum workshop brought together global thought leaders, researchers, and open-source AI pioneers to discuss the pressing challenges and opportunities in the open-source AI landscape.

  • The forum explored several key themes shaping the future of open-source AI, including:
  • AI Models & Innovation: Addressing the need for transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in AI model development.
  • Openness & Collaboration: Defining standards and best practices for open AI ecosystems.
  • Sustainability & Resources: Ensuring the long-term viability of open-source AI through funding, infrastructure, and responsible energy use.
  • Governance & Ethics: Navigating regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and trust mechanisms in open AI development.
  • Sovereignty & Strategic Autonomy: Balancing global collaboration with national and regional sovereignty in AI infrastructure and policy.

The forum output is concretised into a strategic white paper, a synthesised document capturing key discussions, recommendations, and action points from the forum, to be published on the GOSIM website.
